A contestant on RuPaul’s Drag Race Phi Phi O’Hara is now engaged after proposing to his boyfriend live on stage.

Phi Phi – who’s real name is Jaremi Carey – got down on one knee and asked his boyfriend Michael to marry him.

“I’ve spent four and a half years knowing everyday your kisses, your smile, your touch was everything I needed to complete me,” he said, in the heartwarming speech.

HE SAID YESSSSSSS!!!!!! I AM ENGAGED!!!!!! @rupaulbots

“I knew from that moment that my forever was standing in front of me. So I figured why the f**k wait? So I’m saying let’s make forever official,” Jaremi added.

“Michael, will you marry me?”

The proposal took place in New York during RuPaul’s Drag Race: Battle of the Seasons in front of fans, other drag queens and judge Michelle Visage.

Michael said yes and the crowd went wild, of course, before Jaremi and Michael kissed.

Earlier this year, RuPaul attempted to explain the difference between drag queens and trans people.

The world-famous drag artist was speaking on chat show The Real, ahead of the launch of RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 8 in the US on March 7.

Speaking on The Real, RuPaul said: “Drag is really making fun of identity. We are shapeshifters. We’re like ‘okay, today I’m this, now I’m a cowboy, now I’m this’.

“Transgender people take identity very seriously – their identity is who they are.”
