Mel B slams suggestion that her lesbian relationship was ‘an experiment’

The former Spice Girl opened up about her sexuality, before revealing that she hopes one of her daughters grows up to be LGBT

Mel B has rubbished the suggestion her lesbian past was simply “an experiment”, as she revealed she was “in love with a woman for five years”.

The star candidly spoke about her sexuality – before adding that she hopes one of her daughters grows up to be LGBT.

“It wasn’t experimentation. I fell in love with a woman for five years. An experiment doesn’t last five years,” she said.

Her outburst came after a reporter for GSN quizzed the star on her “sexual experimentation”.

“[Now] I’m a married woman who’s in love with a man.”

The former X Factor judge went on to say that she would accept one of their children growing up to be LGBT, explaining that she would “celebrate whatever they want to be”.

“Yeah. Between me and my husband we have four girls. What’s the ratio, one in five?” she said.

“So I’m hoping probably one of them will be!

“It’s not something I’d push, but it’s not something I’d push under the carpet. Whatever my kids want to be, I would celebrate.

“Whether they were gay, bisexual, transgender, I wouldn’t care. I would love and support them as my daughters.”

Last year, Scary Spice said she that although she “did have a four-year relationship with a woman,” she’s now “very happily married for seven years to a penis…”

“I’ve definitely not been shy or been one to hold back. If I wanted to try something, I did. I had a girlfriend. So what?”

Meanwhile, rumours continue to circulate that the Spice Girls may reunite for their 20 year anniversary this year.

Reports last year suggested that Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton, Mel C and Mel B are planning to announce a comeback for a world tour.

However, it is unknown if Posh Spice Victoria Beckham will join the girls, after the fashion designer expressed hesitation when asked about a reunion.
