Is John Barrowman finally returning to Doctor Who?
Torchwood favourite hints at a return to Cardiff, but refuses to elaborate.
John Barrowman recently shared a video thanking fans in Doctor Who’s production hub of Cardiff for attending a signing, before hinting that he would be back for something secret soon.
“I will be back in Cardiff in about a week and a half,” he says in a Facebook video, adding: “But I’m not telling you what for…sssh!”
This isn’t the first time the actor – who plays antihero Malcolm Merlyn in the CW’s superhero drama ‘Arrow’ – has hinted at a return to the show.
However, it is yet to be confirmed if Captain Jack Harkness will play a part in the next series of the hit BBC show – especially as it isn’t due until 2017.
Pearl Mackie, who will play Bill – Peter Capaldi’s Doctor’s latest companion – was announced by the BBC last month.
Bill will feature as the Doctor’s companion in the upcoming tenth season, and in a Christmas Special later on in 2016.

Jenna Coleman played the previous companion Clara Oswald in the series, but left the show last year.
Steven Moffat will exit the show after the tenth season. He has been the executive producer and head writer since 2010.
In an episode that aired in 2014, the series featured its first lesbian kiss between Silurian lizard-woman Madame Vastra (Neve McIntosh) and her human wife Jenny Flint (Catrin Stewart).
The moment was deemed too controversial for audiences in Asia – with the kiss censored from broadcasts on the continent.
Meanwhile, Barrowman showed off rather more than he meant to during a live-stream with fans recently.
Barrowman was live-streaming a chat with fans from a Palm Springs hot tub yesterday when his partner Scott Gill just happened to get in too… completely naked.
Of course, Mr Barrowman is no stranger to nudity, appearing in the buff for many of his roles – including Harkness!
