Justin Timberlake to perform during Eurovision Song Contest

A global superstar will be appearing on the Eurovision stage this week – Justin Timberlake.
The camp music contest takes place this week, with 42 countries from across Europe and beyond set to take part in Stockholm.
Ahead of Saturday’s Grand Final, organisers unveiled their plans for the interval act: music legend Justin Timberlake, who will debut his new single ‘Can’t Stop The Feeling!’.
Sven Stojanovic, Show Producer of the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity, we are very happy and excited that Justin Timberlake will perform his new song together with his band in our show.
“It makes it extra special that the Swedish songwriters Max Martin and Shellback have co-written and co-produced the song together with Justin Timberlake.”
Martin Österdahl, Executive Producer for the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest, said: “We are proud to welcome one of the world’s greatest artists! It is an honor and an inspiration to all of us.”
A statement said: “The musician and actor Justin Timberlake has won nine Grammy Awards and four Emmy Awards.
“His successful solo career includes hits like Cry Me a River, SexyBack and Mirrors and he has starred in movies like The Social Network, Bad Teacher and Friends with Benefits.”
“Now he will perform as an interval act in the Grand Final, Saturday May 14th at 21.00 CET.”
The show will also air in the United States this year for the first time.
Eurovision exec Jon Ola Sand said: “We are thrilled that the world’s biggest entertainment show is being broadcast live in one of the biggest TV markets for the very first time.
“The Eurovision Song Contest is now a truly global phenomenon and we are extremely happy that U.S viewers now get to join those all over Europe, Australia and Asia in experiencing the Grand Final of world’s longest running annual TV music competition on May 14.”
As well as the 42 participating nations, Eurovision will be broadcast in Portugal (who are sitting out a year) China, New Zealand, the US and Kazakhstan.
