A Eurovision superfan has painstakingly recreated the contest’s staging and performances – using LEGO bricks.

Sweden is known for its love of Eurovision, winning twice in the past three years, but 23-year-old Alexandro Kröger Degerfeldt is taking his obsession to a whole new level.

The Swedish social media guru got special permission from the organisers of the contest to start up the ‘Eurovision With Toys’ project, which does what it says on the tin: painstakingly recreating the elements of the contest brick-by-brick.

He clearly has an eye for detail, reproducing the contest’s elaborate stages on his Instagram

And he also manages to recreate some of the show’s most iconic performances…

…as well as the voting segments – douze points!

Or how about a recreation of the entire 2013 show, in stop-motion?

We can’t wait to see 2016’s contest!

The Eurovision Song Contest final takes place on May 14.
