A statement says: “It is with great pleasure that the legendary Sister Sledge are joining us at Pride.

“Grammy nominated, the queens of disco have topped the Billboard chart, amassed a string of Gold and Platinum records accumulating in total worldwide sales of over 15,000,000, performed alongside a galaxy of stars including Aretha Franklin, Diana Ross, Public Enemy and Andrea Bocelli and wowed festival goers on Glastonbury’s Pyramid Stage and Bestival.

“”Yes, this August it is time to become the greatest dancers as we unite together for a spectacular Pride Festival finale show with the global disco sensations, the amazing international superstars that are Sister Sledge.

“No party is complete, no dancefloor sound enough without a Sister Sledge track. Be it We Are Family, He’s The Greatest Dancer, Thinking Of You or Lost In Music, Sister Sledge have provided us with the perfect soundtrack to our disco lives.

It continues: “Nothing brings audiences or clubbers together better than a session with Sister Sledge.

“Transcending time, genre, and culture Sister Sledge give love in a family dose, ensuring whatever our age we become lost in music, music so timeless and so uplifting we can’t wait to be caught up in their disco trap and cruise with our favourite gang as Sister Sledge join Brighton Pride’s star studded Main Stage line-up to perform with a full live band.
