YouTube singer Sam Tsui has opened up about his sexuality – as he reveals he’s about to get married.
The singer has been uploading music videos and covers since 2008, growing a following and a string of viral hits.
But the singer finally opened up in a video over the weekend, as he revealed to fans that he was about to tie the knot to a fellow singer.
He said: “It’s something that I have not talked a lot about, but many of you have asked. That is… are you dating anyone?
“For those of you who are curious, the answer is yes, I am dating someone.”
The YouTube star revealed he is dating fellow musician Casey Breves.
He said: “I have not at all talked about this kind of stuff. Given this is a coming out video of a sort, I want to say very clearly that waiting to tell you guys about this does not mean I am or was ashamed about anything.
“I am proud of who I am and very proud of my relationship with Cacey, because he is amazing.
“While it’s been a very important part of my personal life, it never had that much to do with my music.

“I never felt the need to do a big tear-y coming out video because honestly, in my daily life it’s such a non-issue.”
“If you feel like I’ve been evasive or somehow dishonest in not telling you about this stuff sooner, I just want to assure you that that was never my intention.”
He added: “There’s another bit of crazy big news… not only are we dating, but very very soon we are getting married!”.
Of his decision to keep his private life private until now, he said: “When I started putting music videos on YouTube all of those years ago, I had no idea what this would all become.
“I loved singing, I loved making music, and YouTube was this platform that allowed me to share it.
“But I didn’t have any idea that the music I was putting on YouTube would have any influence on my day to day life.
“There are some things, like relationship stuff, that because I never really talked about it, I never had opportunity to.”
