The lead singer of indie band Vaults has opened up about being polyamorous – and being in relationships with four different people.

Vaults singer Blythe Pepino spoke to the Evening Standard about her unconventional approach to love.

The singer explained that she is dating a man, a woman and another couple… and still finds time to rack up nearly 20 million views on YouTube.

Ahead of a performance at Heaven, she said: “I’m quite a free person when it comes to relationships.

“I’ve got more than one relationship and as far as I’m concerned, that’s fine.

“Because in my world I’ve been living like this for quite a long time, it’s not that big a deal. I’m big into open communication and honesty between people and in relationships.

“I think a lot of people find that a crazy idea, but it’s not really if you just look into it.

She added: “I’m really unafraid of being how I am. If people want to make comments, then they are free to spend a lot of energy being angry. It’s not going to affect me.”

A petition was recently launched urging Facebook to let people list relationships with more than one person.

Philly Cashion’s petition has attracted nearly 3,500 signatures to date.

A three-way couple explained: “What would be nice is to have it on our profiles; people use the relationship option for many things from friends to married people.

“This is fun and good, but as Facebook seems stuck in the idea that a relationship only involves two people… It cuts one of us off.

“This may seem silly to some people, but to me it’s another way of being told our relationship isn’t real.”
