Artist claims he was paid $100,000 to destroy his gay Kanye West mural

Nick Duffy April 11, 2016

A mural of Kanye West kissing himself has been destroyed in Australia – after the creator allegedly received a $100,000 donation from a mysterious benefactor.

Artist Scott Marsh had unveiled the 20-foot artwork in Sydney last month, featuring an image of the rap star locked in a passionate kiss with himself.

The artwork was based on an image of West kissing his wife Kim Kardashian.

Marsh said that after being contacted by the artist’s management, he had offered to remove the image… but only if West paid up $100,000.

He said: “It’s an open invitation to Kanye. If he buys that print then I’ll paint over the mural.”

Marsh has now claimed to have received a $100,000 donation from an undisclosed source, and has made good on his promise to take down the mural.

Taking to Instagram, the artist posted a picture apparently showing the sale, adding: “If anyone needs me I’ll be at the #lordgladstone drinking from the topshelf…”

He later posted a picture of himself painting over the mural, adding: “Its been real yeezy”.

He decided to leave West’s pinky finger in place, however.

Many have cast doubts on the outlandish claims, accusing Marsh of being an elaborate hoaxer.

Genderfluid actor Ruby Rose said earlier this year that Kanye has crossed to many lines recently, after his latest attack on Taylor Swift.

Twitter also reacted hilariously to Kanye West denying he enjoys ‘butt play.’

West also said he thinks he “got discriminated” against in the fashion industry… because he is straight.
