America’s Next Top Model winner will be the reality show’s first deaf male competitor.

Nyle DiMarco is set to make history as the first deaf male contestant to take part in TV competition Dancing With the stars.

The model will also be the first celebrity on the show to describe himself as sexually ‘fluid.’

The 2015 America’s Next Top Model winner will be paired with dance pro Peta Murgatroyd.

He will be joined by other celebrities as Geraldo Rivera, Facts of Life alum Kim Fields, retired NFL player Doug Flutie and Donald Trump’s second wife Marla Maples.

DiMarco came out last year during a casual chat with one of his Twitter followers.

“Nyle you have so many gay fans! Tell us, boys or girls?”

“Fluid,” he answered, before attaching a link to an Everyday Feminism article entitled ‘How Fluid Sexuality Fits into the LGBTQIA+ Spectrum.’

The 6’2″ model, described as having “washboard abs”, also helpfully added an ‘Everyday Feminism’ article to his post which explained what fluid sexuality means and how it fits into the LGBT spectrum.

The article explains that some people see their sexual identity as beyond labels and do not fit into the traditional categories of straight, bi or gay.

“Fluid has no fixed shape, but it still has a fixed volume and consistency,” it read.

“So it may be with fluid sexuality—just because a person may prefer men right now doesn’t mean that will hold true for the rest of their life or even the rest of the week.”

Meanwhile, the UK version of the show – Strictly Come Dancing – courted controversy last year after it was claimed a gay contestant was replaced after he asked to be paired with a male dancer.

CJ de Mooi – who has starred in the Eggheads game show – said he was snubbed by the programme after he said he wanted a same-sex dance partner.
