The award-winning actress says she’s asked about a third movie all the time.

Cynthia Nixon says she would love to step back into the role of Miranda Hobbs in another Sex and the City movie.

“I would love to do it,” the openly gay actress told E! Online over the weekend.

Nixon says fans constantly ask her when she reunite with Sarah Jessica Parker (Carrie), Kim Cattrall (Samantha) and Kristin Davis (Charlotte).

The ladies took the box office by storm during their first feature film – which featured further adventures of four best friends in New York City.

However, the 2012 sequel was panned by the critics – with accusations of racism and sexism hurled at the Abu Dhabi set debacle.

The original hit TV series ran on HBO from 1998 through 2004 and won a legion of female fans for its fresh representation of contemporary women.

“If Michael Patrick King thought there was a story there that he wanted to write and tell,” Nixon said of the series creator.

However, she has no idea where the ladies might be – and said she would not want the responsibility of coming up with a story.

“I do not have a story in mind,” the openly bisexual actress says. “Luckily that’s not my department.”

Nixon married her partner, Christine Marinoni, in 2012 – after the pair met in 2004.

The Tony-award winning actress was previously married to the photographer Danny Mozes, with whom she had two children.

She caused controversy shortly before her marriage, when she claimed her homosexuality was a choice.

The actress later clarified her comments by saying that while her bisexuality was a fact and by no means a choice, she did ‘choose’ was to be in a gay relationship.

Nixon added that she was speaking strictly of herself, not about the LGBT community at large.
