“Happy birthday @ellenpage my beautiful little Pisces soul. I have so much to credit moving to the United States, as I followed this dream of mine,” Rose wrote.

“So many unbelievable things it taught me and provided me. I live my dream now. Everyday.

“Thank god amongst all the other gifts I received I received you to help me navigate through it all.

Rose went on to describe how “crucial it was to have “loyal and real friends around me in Hollywood.”

She added that Page was “the most honest, the most fearless and the most loyal person I know.”

“When it comes to friendship no one does it better than you. I’m forever grateful and always proud of everything you do,” Rose concluded.

“My rock.”

Page – who came out in 2014 – recently opened up about how hiding her sexuality affected her mental health.

“I’d get panic attacks and sense an incredible discomfort because I didn’t relate to the conformity that comes with my gender,” she said.

“I was doing something I love and also wondering, ‘What’s wrong with me?’ You hate yourself for feeling bad, so you pretend you’re happy.

“I’d ask myself, ‘Can’t you just flip a switch, be a character, play the game?’”

The actor turned LGBT advocate recently urged fellow Hollywood stars who may be in the closet to be honest about their sexual orientation, rather than hide it.

Page – who recently finished filming a new documentary exploring homophobia around the world – said she hopes that one day “coming out” is no longer an issue.

Earlier this month, she accused Hollywood of double standards against gay and lesbian actors.
