There is now a Bernie Sanders naked calendar… for all the people who love 74-year-old Senators from Vermont.

A group of Sanders supporters have stripped off to raise funds to help his Presidential bid, as he faces off against Hillary Clinton in the Democratic primaries.

Though Clinton has proved popular with mainstream voters, Sanders – who has supported LGBT rights in Congress for many years – is building a large group of grassroots supporters.

And apparently some of them are happy to do anything for the Presidential hopeful.

A handfull of Bernie supporters stripped off for the ‘Men Who Bern’ calendar, which was created by Joe Beuerlein.

Mr Beuerlin explained: “I’m an actor and bartender in Brooklyn and, like many of you, I’m really, really excited about Bernie.

“I’ve been trying to do my part this year by hitting the streets, handing out flyers, and talking to voters. In my spare time, I’ve made a devastatingly sexy instagram account: @menwhobern.

“With the help of many, many people, this calendar was made to raise money for the grassroots operation here in New York to win Bernie’s home state.

“Making a calendar in five weeks was a hare-brained idea, but here we are!”

Mercifully, Senator Sanders himself has not stripped off for the calendar.

He added: “Bernie supporters from all over the country were asked to submit photos for this calendar. Some guys (incredibly) got back to me.

Some pictures we took with the photographer Richard Gasparro. Some I took in my living room! But we’re pumped with how it turned out.”

However, he says that due to electoral rules, the funds will be going to  win “the grassroots operation here in New York”, and “will NOT go to the official campaign”.

The calendar is set to ship early January, just in time for the first primaries in February.
