Two real-life gay dads who starred in a viral soup advert have made a list of the world’s sexiest men.

Campbell’s Soup launched an adorable new ad campaign earlier this year, to celebrate their ‘Star Wars’ edition soup.

In the clip, real-life fathers Larry Sullivan and David Monahan take turns impersonating Darth Vader, telling their son: “I am your Father.”

The ad promptly upset the real-life Sith, fringe campaign group One Million Moms – but the pair have since found support from an unusual place.

The pair were named on PEOPLE Magazine’s list of the sexiest men alive –  alongside David Beckham, Idris Elba and Nick Jonas.

Sullivan told PEOPLE, of their ad: “I didn’t realize it would blow up and become the big deal it has become.

“Neither of us have been on the ‘I’m an activist’ train, and I still don’t think we really are, because all we’re doing is just living our lives.

“But it just so happens that our spot is entering people’s living rooms that normally probably wouldn’t let us into their homes, and they don’t really have a choice.”

He added of their title: “We can be sexy on the inside, right?”

Monahan added: “I’m happy to be considered sexy at 44. If we can be a sexy gay family I’m happy to be that, too.”

Meanwhile, Christian campaign group One Million Moms – who despite their name have 3,326 mostly-male Twitter followers – are still trying to boycott Campbell’s Soup.

Th group claimed: “Obviously, Campbell’s is sending the message that homosexual men are raising children, whom they wouldn’t have if a woman wasn’t involved, and they are ok with it.

“Campbell’s Soup is glorifying this unnatural marriage. One Million Moms believes family is based on love, but this does not justify normalizing sin.

“This is a marketing decision Campbell’s will regret. This gay-inclusive commercial is attempting to desensitize viewers.”

And if that doesn’t make you want to tuck into some soup, nothing will.
