Azealia Banks investigated by police for alleged attack on security guard
Controversial rap artist Azealia Banks is being investigated for allegedly assaulting a security guard at a nightclub.
Banks, who rose to fame after her viral hit ‘212’ was discovered, is being investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department for the alleged assault.
According to TMZ, the rapper was asked by security guards at Break Room 86 to leave the club over “unruly behaviour”.
On her way out, Banks apparently tried to pull the fire alarm, but was grabbed by a security guard. After members of her group tried to pull him off her, Banks can be seen on a video published byt he site, to be jumping on the security guard and hitting him.
In the video, she only stops when a second guard comes up to break up the fight.
Banks has gone on several disturbing homophobic rants. In the most recent, she said she wants to “spray a gay man in the face with pepper spray”.
The 212 rapper, who has repeatedly dismissed claims she is anti-gay in the past, was caught on camera branding a flight attendant a “f**king faggot” during an on-flight meltdown.
In the past when she was challenged on her views, she claimed: “even if i am a homophobe… so wat? [sic] i still make more $ than u”.

She previously defended using the word ‘faggot’, claiming it is not a gay slur and just means “a man who hates women”.
Banks insisted: You can be gay or straight. You can be a straight faggot… Faggots are men who want to bring women down, fuck with their heads, control them.”
Banks has also claimed previously that it is impossible for her to be homophobic, because she is bisexual.
She wrote: “Why do gay men think everything I post about being gay is about them?! GIRLS ARE GAY TOO. I LIKE VAGINAS.
“All of my friends are gay, I am bisexual…. So please… Stop.”
