Jane Fonda kisses Miley Cyrus’ stomach at LGBT awards (PICTURES)
The acting legend showed the pop sensation’s stomach some love on the red carpet.
Miley Cyrus was honoured with the Vanguard Award at the LGBT Centre’s 46th Anniversary Gala Vanguard Awards on Saturday night.
However, before the ceremony even started, the pop star got some love from fellow LGBT advocate and actress Jane Fonda.
After the pair had posed for some pictures with Fonda’s ‘Grace and Frankie’ co-star Lily Tomlin, the actress leant over and landed a kiss on the singer’s stomach.
Cyrus was later presented with the Vanguard Award for the work of her charitable organisation, the Happy Hippie Foundation.
The nonprofit aims to provide outreach to homeless teens with an emphasis on the LGBT community.
“I want all of you to know that I feel beyond grateful to be in a room full of so many people who care so much about others because unfortunately that is way too rare in the world that we live in today,” Cyrus said during her acceptance speech.
“I’m thinking of tonight not as celebrating what we’ve already done but what we’re doing and what we’re going to do in the future.”
“There are more than 1.6 million runaway or homeless young people in the U.S. each year with 40 percent of homeless youth identifying as LGBTQ,” she added.
The piano – donated by actress Ruby Rose – was eventually auctioned for $50,000.
Meanwhile, award-winning actress Fonda earlier this year revealed she had real-life experience of her partners coming out as gay – after starring in a sitcom covering the same subject.
She said: “When I was young, I was the female that gay guys wanted to try to become heterosexual with.
“A very famous actor who’s gay – and I will not name names – asked me to marry him.
“I was very flattered, but I said, ‘Why?’ This was 1964.”
