Daniel Radcliffe talks masturbating on Harry Potter set
The star was VERY candid about growing up on the Harry Potter set during a recent interview.
Daniel Radcliffe has opened up about growing up as the star of the movie franchise – going into A LOT of detail about some of his habits.
Describing himself as “an early starter”, the child star – who won this year’s Rear of The Year award – answered a little too honestly when asked about masturbating.
“I was like every other teenager in that sense. My favourite line about masturbation is Louis C.K.’s, something like ‘I found out about it when I was 11, and I didn’t skip a day’.
“I think I started very early — before my teens. But not when I was on set.”
However, he was sure to point out that he chose his moments very carefully indeed.
He added: ‘I wasn’t going, ‘When is Alan Rickman going to nail this scene so I can run back to my trailer?’
“There’s another feeling, again perfectly described by Louis C.K.: ‘that fear just after you’ve jerked off that everyone knows what you did.’
“It would have been embarrassing to walk back on set and look the dignitaries of British acting royalty in the eye, knowing what I’d been doing.”
We’re sure Dame Maggie would be relieved to hear it…
A strong supporter of LGBT rights, Radcliffe joked last year of top Google searches for him: “Daniel Radcliffe alcoholic. Daniel Radcliffe gay. Daniel Radcliffe girlfriend.”
“I’m pleased my girlfriend [now] comes up before alcoholic or gay.
“When I first did that, I got really annoyed for about half a minute, until I tried a few other people’s names and I found out [gay] comes up after almost everyone if they’re a man, and even some women – Florence Welch had it, and I was like, really?
“If people are speculating about your sexuality, then you’re doing OK.”
