Special rainbow packs of Doritos raising money for an anti-homophobia charity have already sold out.

Doritos last week unveiled a special rainbow-coloured edition, including multi-coloured tortilla chips, as part of the brand’s partnership with the It Gets Better.

The new Doritos come in the different bright colours of the Pride flag – red, orange, green, blue and purple.

The crisps were only available via a $10 donation to It Gets Better, and are not available in shops – but after the campaign went viral online, they have now sold out entirely.

A message now states:  “Due to the incredible amount of support we have received, all bags of limited-edition Doritos Rainbows have been claimed.

“You can still show your support by sharing your own words of inspiration using the hashtag#BOLDANDBETTER.

“Check back soon and stay tuned for updates. In the meantime, give us your email and we’ll keep you in the loop.”

So far, $100,000 has been raised for the charity.

It Gets Better tweeted: “We”e sold out of #Doritos Rainbows! T/Y to all for your support. Stay tuned for updates.”

The special ‘Doritos Rainbows’ packs, only available in the US, contain the message: “There’s nothing bolder than being yourself.”

The company said: “Doritos supports the bold lives our fans lead—all of them.

“We are honored to partner with the It Gets Better Project to create our boldest chip yet. Each bag brings rainbow-colored chips inside and an inspiring quote on the outside.

“To get a bag, make a donation and share your support to inspire others.”

Shipping was only available to the 48 US contiguous states, and the offer has not yet been made available in the UK.

Stain remover Tide recently launched a pro-gay ad campaign taking aim at Kentucky clerk Kim Davis.
