Caitlyn Jenner’s E! series ‘I Am Cait’ has been renewed for a second season.

The series, which has followed the former Olympic athlete through her transition, and which she has used to feature issues faced by the trans community, may premiere in March 2016.

Speaking to BuzzFeed News, a source close to the series said the series had been renewed.

However an E! spokesperson said the channel “has nothing to announce at this time”.

Jenner earlier this month revealed that she used to be an opponent of same-sex marriage – before coming out as transgender.

The former Olympian and reality star opened up about her conservative views while speaking to Ellen DeGeneres.

Caitlyn Jenner garnered global praise earlier this year, after she bravely came out as transgender on the cover of Vanity Fair – instantly becoming a role model for trans communities all over the world.

The former Olympian has received international recognition since coming out, and has been supported by family, fans and fellow celebrities alike – including actor Eddie Redmayne, who voiced his support for her last week.

Unfortunately, she has also faced criticism and been victim to both transphobia and ridicule –including a transphobic rap from the eternally homophobic hip hop star Eminem.
