Doritos today unveiled a special rainbow-coloured edition, to raise money for a gay rights charity.

Yes, believe it or not – you can now buy special packets of multi-coloured tortilla chips, as part of the brand’s partnership with the It Gets Better project, which challenges homophobia.

Unveiled on ABC News today, the new Doritos come in the different bright colours of the Pride flag – red, orange, green, blue and purple.

The special ‘Doritos Rainbows’ packs, only available in the US, contain the message: “There’s nothing bolder than being yourself.”

However, you can’t buy them in shops – to secure a pack, you must donate $10 to It Gets Better.

The company said: “Doritos supports the bold lives our fans lead—all of them.

“We are honored to partner with the It Gets Better Project to create our boldest chip yet. Each bag brings rainbow-colored chips inside and an inspiring quote on the outside.

“To get a bag, make a donation and share your support to inspire others.”

However, shipping is only available to the 48 US contiguous states, and the offer has not yet been made available in the UK.

Stain remover Tide recently launched a pro-gay ad campaign taking aim at Kentucky clerk Kim Davis.
