Harry Styles to play Patsy’s love interest in new Ab Fab movie?
One Direction star Harry Styles is being lined up to appear in the upcoming Absolutely Fabulous movie.
According to reports, the pop heartthrob will be playing the love interest of Joanna Lumley’s hard partying character, Patsy Stone.
The new film, written by Jennifer Saunders – who plays the legendary showbiz PR Edina Monsoon – is already rumoured to include guest appearances from the likes of Kate Moss and Spice Girls Victoria Beckham Emma Bunton.
A source told The Sun: “Jennifer has told friends she wants Harry to be part of the movie. She’s gone some great cameos in the bag already, but wants to give the film a young, hipster edge.”
The source continued: “If she can find a way to work him into the script then Patsy could have a bit of totty to chase.”
“We are all there, the same old gang,” said Lumley. “Lots of people you will have seen in it before, I think we are going down to the south of France to do some of the shooting there
“It’ll all be shot on location. It is going to be ravishingly funny! Very gorgeous… and completely fabulous!”
The first series of Absolutely Fabulous aired in 1992, and it has since enjoyed a run of 39 episodes.
While promising a “ravishingly funny” film, Lumley recently said the script for the feature film is finished, and production is due to start in October.

Styles sparked cheers from fans last week, by running around on stage in a Pride flag.
At the band’s show in Buffalo, New York, the singer appeared to pull the flag from the audience during a performance of ‘Act My Age’ – wearing it as a cape before dancing around and waving the flag.
