Brighton is getting its own rainbow bus this weekend!

The rainbow coloured Pride Bus has taken to the streets in Brighton, to celebrate the upcoming LGBT festivals.

The bus also carries the name of the legendary, late drag act, Phil Starr, who was also known for his charity work and as a huge supporter of Brighton Pride.

Paul Kemp, who will be overseeing the annual LGBT festival, took the opportunity to thank local businesses for the support of event, including Brighton & Hove buses.

“We are thrilled that Brighton & Hove buses have joined other prominent city businesses to support Pride in our city in this, our 25th Anniversary year.”

“This is just the start of an ongoing relationship that includes a dedicated bus and shuttle service from the Pride camp site, as well as exciting all year round promotional activity with the Pride bus.”

The bus is in operation on a number of routes across the city now.

Last month, it was announced that renowned DJ Fatboy Slim will be headlining the weekend, with other performances expected from Ella Henderson and Foxes.

Brighton Pride takes place next weekend, on Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 August. For ticket details visit brighton-pride.org
