All your favourites could be coming back to RuPaul’s Drag Race

Nick Duffy July 22, 2015

Missing your favourite queens from RuPaul’s Drag Race? Good news – Logo has confirmed a second season of All Stars Drag Race.

The TV network confirmed that a number of fan favourites would return for the second season of the drag show’s spin-off – which sees past contestants from across seasons return for a second shot at a spot in the ‘Drag Race Hall of Fame’

The cult drag reality contest has aired for seven seasons so far – and the new All Stars series is expected to feature drag queens from across all the seasons.

RuPaul said: “They arrive as drag artists. They leave as international stars.

“The chance to bring back the best of the best for a new season of All Stars is a dream come true for me and their legions of fans around the world.”

Pamela Post, head of original programming at Logo, said: “On the heels of Drag Race’s seventh season, one of the most buzzworthy and highly-watched seasons to date, our fans have spoken and they want more drama, more queens and more Ru.

“From revisiting old favorites in RuVealed and All Stars, to meeting the new stars of season eight, the Drag Race party on Logo will be bigger and better than ever before.”

A number of former contestants are rumoured to be returning, including fan favourites Alaska, Pearl, Trixie Mattel and Courtney Act.

However, former contestant Willam appears to have ruled out an appearance.

According to the Mirror, a deleted Tumblr post from Willam said: “The girls have been asked already and we all talk and know. Plus, anyone can go see various schedules and notice cancelations. I would know by now.

“They asked last time, I said yes. They didn’t bother to ask this time – and who knows what I woulda said depending on what contract stipulated – but I do know this: I think it’s a shame that a show that relies on fan interaction would basically say ‘F*** YOU’ to all the fans that do wants me on the great game show

“That’s what I see it as. All those votes the kids did with me and Alaska neck and neck and s***. Unofficial but a pretty good reflection.”

Drag Race judge Michelle Visage recently lashed out at a “bulls**t” decision to ban drag performers from a Pride event in Scotland.
