Jennifer Hudson gave this Texas gay couple an amazing wedding surprise
Jennifer Hudson crashed one of Dallas’ first same-sex weddings on Wednesday and surprised the lucky couple with a special performance during their ceremony at the W Dallas-Victory Hotel in Texas.
As both grooms, who have been together fourteen years and have four children together, exchanged vows, a congratulatory video appeared from 33-year-old Hudson, shortly before the curtains fell and the songstress herself appeared and performed her hit single, “I Still Love You” from her latest album, “JHUD”.
They were both quick to join in, along with the rest of the guests who were at their wedding.
The Grammy-winning artist, has been working alongside W Hotels and the Human Rights Campaign in order for an LGBT marriage equality initiative titled “Turn It Up For Change” since last year.

Ever since the Supreme Court ruling for same-sex marriage to be legalised across all states, W Hotels have been planning the surprise.
“I owe a large part of my success to the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community, who has embraced and supported me from early on in my career.” Hudson said.
“That is why I am thrilled to join forces with W Hotels and the HRC to use the power of music to promote LGBT equality. We have already come a long way on this topic in such a short time, but now it’s time for the final push. It’s time to ‘turn up’ the volume on this crucial human rights issue.” She continued.
On the day of the surprise, Hudson posted on Instagram to document the special night.
“Wedding crashing !! #turn it up for change.” She wrote alongside one of her posts.
Meanwhile, Hudson is also said to be keen to reprise her role as a music therapist and gospel singer Michelle White on the second season of Fox’s musical drama, Empire.
As part of the campaign, Hudson earlier this year released a cute new music video featuring a same-sex wedding, and addressing issues sometimes faced by LGBT people.
