Stephen Fry has admitted that Prince Charles was most likely “not pleased” that he snorted cocaine in Buckingham Palace.

The actor and QI host opened up about his dependency on the drug throughout the 80s and 90s, in his autobiography More Fool Me, which was released last year.

In addition to Buckingham Palace, Fry revealed he snorted cocaine in Windsor Castle, the House of Commons, the House of Lords, the offices of The Times, The Daily Telegraph, and the Spectator, and BBC Television Centre.

Now, on Desert Island Discs with Kirsty Young on BBC Radio 4, Fry said the prince “would not be especially pleased with the idea of people doing that in the palace.”

He went on to say, however, that Charles probably would not “point to the exit door to say, ‘Never return again.’”

Prince Charles is not “judgemental” or “prissy”, Fry continued.

Of whether he would become a father with husband Elliott Spencer, Fry said: “We had better get on with it, if we do.”

Former Education Secretary Michael Gove earlier this week revealed that Stephen Fry sent him a text message because he made grammatical “errors”.
