Vlogger Ingrid Nilsen has come out as gay in a new video, saying “I am not going to apologise for who I am anymore.”
Nilsen, who often publishes beauty videos, shared the video titled ‘Something I Want You To Know (Coming Out’ on Tuesday.
It was shared with her more than 3 million followers, and in it she said, crying: “There’s something that I want you to know, and that something is I’m gay. It feels so good to say that.
She went on: “I have had this wall up for so much of my life, but it wasn’t like this brick or stone wall.
“I’ve described it to my friends as this glass wall, where you could see me but you were never getting all of me, because there was always that barrier there.”
“I want to live my life unapologetically because I am proud of who I am and I am not going to apologise for who I am anymore,” the 26-year-old said.
The video has been viewed nearly 2 million times in the past 24 hours.
