A Twitter bot has been automatically correcting anyone who refers to Caitlyn Jenner as “he”.

“@she_not_he” may not always get it right, but it’s making a valiant effort to make sure no Twitter users use the wrong gender pronoun to refer to Jenner.

The account’s bio states: “I’m a bot politely correcting Twitter users who misgender Caitlyn Jenner. Apologies if I make a mistake reading your tweet!”

The step-parent to the Kardashians, Caitlyn Jenner revealed her new name as she appeared on the latest cover of Vanity Fair.

Ellen tweeted her support at the time, saying Jenner was a “beautiful, brave human being”.

Actress Linda Thompson, who was married to Jenner for five years in the 1980s, wrote a column for The Huffington Post in which she discusses her feelings on the transition.
