A 90-year-old great grandmother has given her brilliant reasons for voting ‘yes’ in this Friday’s referendum on same-sex marriage.

The Republic of Ireland is set to vote on May 22 on a proposal to introduce civil same-sex marriage.

Catholic great grandmother Madeline Connolly, who has 14 children, 25 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, features in the video by YesEquality.

In it, she says: “God made us all and he made us all equal,” she said.

“Everybody should have the opportunity to get married. Gay and lesbian people should have been free to get married years ago.”

Incredible.
