Ben Carson who joked about poisoning gay wedding cakes to run for US President

Ben Carson, who previously insisted that being gay is a choice, and who joked about poisoning gay wedding cakes has announced his presidential bid.

The notoriously homophobic former neurosurgeon said earlier this year that prisons prove being gay is “absolutely” a choice.

He said: “Because a lot of people who go into prison go into prison straight and when they come out, they’re gay. So, did something happen while they were in there? Ask yourself that question.”

The Republican announced his bid today in Detroit, his home town.

Noting his experience on the Kelloggs board, he said: “We are going to change the government into something that looks more like a well-run business than a Behemoth.”

“I’m not even asking everybody to vote for me, I’m just asking everybody to listen to what I’m saying, what politicians are saying, and make a decision based on your intellect,” Carson said before a huge American flag dropped to the floor of the stage.

Dr Carson  told listed hate group NOM last June that same-sex marriage is a “plot” conceived by the New World Order to impose communism.

He has previously been forced to apologise for comparing homosexuality to bestiality and paedophilia.

He said in 2013: “My thoughts are that marriage is between a man and a woman. It’s a well-established, fundamental pillar of society and no group, be they gays, be they [paedophile support group] NAMBLA, be they people who believe in bestiality–it doesn’t matter what they are–they don’t get to change the definition.”
