This black, gay dance troupe had the very best response when they were told they weren’t allowed to dance in a parade in Alabama – “fuck it, let’s just do it anyway.”elites001

Last week the ‘Prancing Elites Project’ debuted on Oxygen, the title dance group describe their style as “like a cheerleading and voguing combined in one with a lot of pelvic thrusting.”

In the video, taking to Saraland, Alabama, the guys are told they can’t dance in a parade, as they have to have “respect” for peoples’ families, who may be upset by seeing men in leotards.

After the police officers warn them that they have been banned from dancing in the parade, the troupe then go ahead and just do it anyway, for fear of missing the music.

One of the dancers Jerel, explains: “Clearly they dont undestand that telling us no gives us a boost of energy to say fuck it, we’re going to do it anyway…”

After performing a very tight routine, the guys chat to families and kids about tolerance and acceptance. Amazing.
