Bryan Cranston calls to ‘end this silliness’ over same-sex marriage bans
Breaking Bad actor Bryan Cranston says he is a big supporter of gay rights.
Speaking to GLAAD at the premier of Broadway musical Finding Neverland, Bryan Cranston said: “I don’t understand why any person shouldn’t have the rights of any other person.
“I’ve been a big supporter of gay rights for forever, and I think it’s absurd that there’s still an issue about marriage. I mean, I think it’s insulting also to the gay community to have to constantly bring this up again and again.
“There are far more important issues to deal with. Let’s end this silliness, accept everyone for who they are and what they are, and embrace that and move on.
“It should be done. It should be a given.”
He also spoke out about the recent controversies in Indiana, where “religious freedom” laws threatened to allow people to discriminate against LGBT people.
“I don’t understand that mentality I don’t know what’s been happening lately, but in Indiana, this whole thing, it’s like ‘Really?’
“It’s just a head scratcher to me. I don’t get it.”
