Rupert Grint has recounted an experience of going out in public dressed in drag to please a group of Harry Potter fans.

The actor, who played Ron Weasley in the long-running film series, recounted his experiences to fellow former Potter star Tom Felton – who played Draco Malfoy – for BBC Three documentary ‘Tom Felton Meets The Superfans’.

He told Felton: “I just can’t say no. I would do anything if someone asks me to do it.

“It’s got me in a few weird situations. I met this drag queen and went back to her little flat with all her drag queen friends because I couldn’t say no.

“They dressed me up and we went to get bagels at 4am. I was in full heels and feather boa and it was really weird.”

Lead actor Daniel Radcliffe added: “Don’t put that in the film Tom.

“If you ask for Rupert’s autograph he’ll come around your f***ing house!”

Radcliffe said last year that rumours about his sexuality show that his career is still doing well.

He said of his Google search results: “Daniel Radcliffe alcoholic. Daniel Radcliffe gay. Daniel Radcliffe girlfriend.

“I’m pleased my girlfriend [now] comes up before alcoholic or gay.

“When I first did that, I got really annoyed for about half a minute, until I tried a few other people’s names and I found out [gay] comes up after almost everyone if they’re a man, and even some women – Florence Welch had it, and I was like, really?

“If people are speculating about your sexuality, then you’re doing OK.”

Tom Felton Meets The Superfans airs Monday at 9pm on BBC Three.
