Lady Gaga joins American Horror Story

Nick Duffy February 25, 2015

Lady Gaga will star in the next season of horror anthology TV show American Horror Story.

The Born This Way singer – who announced her engagement to boyfriend Taylor Kinney earlier this month – will take on her biggest acting role to date in the show’s fifth season.

Gaga previously starred in 2013 flop film ‘Machete Kills’, and 2014’s ‘Sin City: A Dame to Kill For’ – but her stint on American Horror Story will be her first major TV acting role.

The first details were also released for the next season of the show, created by Glee showrunner Ryan Murphy.

The series will be titled ‘American horror Story: Hotel’, and is set to air in October.

Gaga announced the news in a characteristically quirky upscale fashion, in a black-and-white video on her Twitter page.

The singer joined the band Queen for a surprise one-off performance at a concert last summer.

The star appeared on stage during a ‘Queen + Adam Lambert’ gig, and performed Another One Bites The Dust wearing a dark frizzy wig reminiscent of Queen guitarist Brian May.
