A TV preacher has claimed that teenagers look at gay magazines because they have been molested by gay people.

In an email to preacher Pat Robertson’s Christian Broadcast Network show ‘The 700 Club’, a father wrote: “I found a gay magazine in my son’s room. What should I do?”

He replied: “The chances are your son is not gay, but somebody gave him a book about it.

“You know, a lot of these so-called gay people are — have been either attacked or molested by some authority figure or else a magazine has confused him.

“You need to talk to him about what things are and who he is and what he is, and let him grow up and find out.

“But don’t let him be exposed to a bunch of pornographic magazines because a gay magazine is filled with naked pictures of naked men doing sex with each of other.”

In the show Robertson said that nobody should watch pornography, whether it be straight or gay porn: “It doesn’t matter. You don’t want him to be seeing that.”

He is known for his offensive remarks , previously saying that gay people purposely spread HIV and that social network Facebook should install a vomit button to press when someone shares a picture of gay men kissing.

More recently he claimed that  repealing the ban on gays in the military has made Christians the real victims of oppression.

He said: “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’ used to refer to gays in the military, now it could apply to Christians in uniform.”
