Watch: Richard Dawkins reads homophobic hate mail
Controversial evolutionary biologist Richard Dawkins has released a video in which he reads homophobic hate letters.
The militant atheist, who is married to former Doctor Who actress Lalla Ward, is well-known for speaking out against organised religion.
He took to YouTube to release some of the negative reactions he had received.
One letter said: “Hahaha bitch. No you are not an atheist, you are a gay-theist. LOLOL.
“They should call you Richard Dick-kins because you’re so busy sucking off Bill Maher and those Labour Party dipshits. You can’t do anything else. Oh, and your science books are shit!”
Another ‘love letter’ read: “Have you ever tried to make love to a monkey? I wouldn’t be surprised if you had since sodomites are now running all of our universities.
“But either way I hope you do get sodomized by satanic monkeys in hell. Sincerely, a created daughter of our Lord.”
Another said: You don’t think God is real because you’re gay and stupid. Why don’t you stop being gay and stupid, and go have sexytime?”
A further letter contained a number of anti-gay slurs, saying: “Hi faggot. You are leftist leech, you suck Noam Chomsky’s dick, commie faggot. Faggot well [sic] chop your commie neck off.”
The academic – who also had to be guided in the pronunciation of ‘biatch’ – said: “I think they’re all just rather fun.”
