Miranda finds love at same-sex wedding in sitcom finale
As hit sitcom ‘Miranda’, drew to a close, the show’s protagonist found love whilst accidentally interrupting a same-sex wedding.
Fans and critics praised the show, which saw the title character, played by Miranda Hart, get married herself.
She did so after, assuming her beau Gary was getting married, she stormed into a register office to stop the wedding.
Instead, she found that character Clive was getting married, and Gary was simply the best man.
The episode, which was watched by 7.3m viewers on New Year’s Day, ended with Miranda and Gary tying the knot themselves.
The show ended for good with the 2-part special, the first part of which aired on Christmas Day.
