Openly gay actor Andrew Scott has joined the cast of the 24th James Bond film ‘SPECTRE’, it was announced today.
Scott, who came out as gay in November 2013, recently starred in the film ‘Pride’, the British film, which is based on the true story of how a group of gay activists decided to raise money to support the families of striking miners in 1984. The film won the Queer Palm award at Cannes Film Festival earlier this year.
He plays the character Denbigh in the 24th Bond film. Denbigh works at MI6, and joins openly gay Ben Whishaw, who plays Q.
The new 007 film is due for a November 2015 release, and also stars Daniel Craig, Ralph Fiennes, Ben Whishaw, Naomie Harris, Rory Kinnear are Christoph Waltz, Monica Bellucci and David Bautista.
