One Directon’s Louis Tomlinson shows support for Tim Cook with rainbow Apple t-shirt

Gabby Jeffries November 10, 2014

One Direction star Louis Tomlinson showed his support for Apple’s newly-out CEO this weekend, when he was spotted wearing a t-shirt with the company’s old rainbow logo.

Tim Cook – the current head of the tech firm, which had a rainbow motif from from 1977 to 1998 – came out as gay earlier this month.

He wrote: “I’m proud to be gay, and I consider being gay among the greatest gifts God has given me.

“For years, I’ve been open with many people about my sexual orientation. Plenty of colleagues at Apple know I’m gay, and it doesn’t seem to make a difference in the way they treat me.”

One Direction singer Louis Tomlinson appeared to be showing his support for the business leader, by wearing a white t-shirt featuring the firm’s original rainbow logo while on the way to film for The X Factor.

It comes after his bandmate Harry Styles joked about being bisexual, claiming that being female was “not that important” in terms of who he wants to date.

Fans of the band have since formed the group Rainbow Direction – for LGBT discussions apart from the famously rabid fanbase.

In September Liam Payne went on a shooting trip with the stars of reality show Duck Dynasty – many of whom have attended events run by listed anti-gay hate groups.
