Among other celebrities, Hollywood stars Daniel Radcliffe and Cameron Diaz have been named on a gay “list of shame” by a Middle Eastern TV station with millions of followers.

The “list of shame” was featured on MBC.net, in the section for a show called ‘Scoop with Raya’. The Middle East Broadcasting Center (MBC) Group is the first private free-to-air satellite broadcasting company in the Arab World.

It incorrectly names Radcliffe as a gay and Diaz as bisexual as well as claiming that Elton John wore a wedding dress when he married David Furnish.

It also names and criticises Ricky Martin, Ellen DeGeneres, Jodie Foster, Neil Patrick Harris and Sir Elton John for coming out, being in same-sex relationships or adopting children.

Update 16:33 Wed 24 September: The list was removed from the MBC website since PinkNews published this article.

Update 2 11:07 Thu 25 September: MBC.net has issued an apology and retraction, and moved to clarify that the list article was taken from another website, was not fact checked, and was not linked to ‘Scoop with Raya’, or the show’s host Raya Abirached.
