Olympic Diver Tom Daley has renewed his support against Scottish independence by saying that he loves Great Britain.

The 20-year-old Plymouth-born star told his Twitter followers that the UK would be “better together” if Scotland remains part of the Union.

Daley, who now lives in London, said: “Love Great Britain. Love Team GB. Love Scotland. I think we are #bettertogether.”

In August, the gay sportsman was among more than 200 high-profile names to sign a letter urging Scotland to reject independence. Other signatories included gay actors John Barrowman and Charlie Condou.

Daley won gold at last month’s Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

A PinkNews poll of more than two thousand Scottish LGBT people published on Monday found that 54% intend to vote Yes on Thursday.
