Former Tory Health Secretary Lord Fowler will this week appear at a gay lifestyle store and licensed sex shop in London’s Soho to speak on HIV and AIDS.

Lord Fowler, a former Conservative Party Chairman and long-serving member of the Thatcher Cabinet will appear at Prowler, Soho share his latest views, thoughts and recommendations on HIV and AIDS, having just returned from the International AIDS Conference in Melbourne.

The exclusive appearance will also see Lord Fowler sign copies of his book ‘AIDS: Don’t Die of Prejudice’.

Lord Fowler earlier this week told PinkNews it was time to heed the clamouring views of parents “who are desperately in favour” of statutory sex education.

“I think it’s just what we should be doing in a modern society,” said the Conservative peer, who served as Health Secretary from 1981 to 1987. “The more knowledge people have the better it is for them”.

Lord Fowler will appear at Prowler Soho*, 5-7 Brewer Street London W1F 0RF, from 6pm-8pm on Thursday 28th August.

30% of proceeds from Lord Fowler’s book sold on the day will be donated to AVERT, GMFA and Positive East.
