If only the parents of all gay children were like this couple

A video of two Sikh parents proudly standing by their gay son has been released by the Asian Pride Project.

The Asian Pride Project a support network for LGBT people and their families in Asian communities, and describes itself as a “place to share our stories and experiences with each other, in the languages of our communities, in video, sound, pictures, and words.”

In the video, Kamlesh Bagga her husband Harcharan Bagga stand by their gay son, and urge people to be more accepting.

Kamlesh Bagga says: “Too often, our children are shunned, ostracised and discriminated against in our community.

“It is time to take a stand to really support your children, my children, our children.

Harcharan Bagga says: “I am proud of my son. I have always been proud of my son.

“After all, family is still family, and love is still love.

“Share your story of love and acceptance for gay, bisexual and transgender children.”

It is part of a video series, in which Chinese, Japanese and Korean parents also urge people to stand by their children, with the same words in each language.
