Singer Lance Bass has confirmed he will marry his same-sex partner in a TV special next year.

The former ‘N Sync star, who came out in 2006, confirmed the plans to Larry King earlier this week.

He said: “The wedding will be next year, around February. We’re going to air the special around Valentine’s Day.

“It’s going to be taped [not live]. I’m producing, so I’m going to film it, and it will show the lead up to it.

“We’re still two guys getting married, and with two guys it’s really hard to plan a wedding!

“There’s a lot of humour coming out of this, because we have no idea what we’re doing.

Speaking about his fiancé, the artist Michael Turchin, he said: “We met at a birthday party in Palm Springs, and what’s great about this relationship was we started out as best friends.

“I knew I had an attraction to him… and a month later, it grew into something a lot bigger.

“I would love to adopt [a child], I want to have my own also. We’ve already discussed this, we’re definitely family people. We want kids.”

Bass said last year that he knew “tons” of gay celebrities who are still in the closet, but would not want to out any of them.

In 2010, Lance Bass admitted that he used to join in with teasing gay kids at school to hide his own sexuality.
