Could Eurovision winner Conchita Wurst be the next X Factor judge? Amanda Holden seems to think so.

Holden, currently a judge on Britain’s Got Talent – the ITV talent show owned by Simon Cowell asked her fans whether they thought she should recommend Wurst for the job of judge.

Cowell also owns the rights to X Factor, the singing competition Holden seems to think Wurst would be perfect for.

She tweeted, asking her 1.5 million followers whether they thought Wurst would be a good fit, saying that she planned to suggest her for the slot. Many replied with excitement to say they thought she would fit right in.

Cowell himself, and former judge Cheryl Cole are both set to return to the show this year.

Wurst’s victory on Eurovision was met with outrage by several homophobic Russian politicians.

The president of Russia’s state-run rail corporation accused the West of imposing “pure propaganda” following Wurst’s victory.

She did, however inspire a butcher near her family home to create a sausage in her honour.

Lady Gaga has also reportedly asked Wurst to support her on her upcoming tour.
