A 25-year-old Philadelphia man was found dead last week after meeting up with a man he met on Grindr.

The body of Dino Dizdarevic was discovered in a lot in Chester, Pennsylvania, on Thursday 1 May.

The District Attorney’s Office has confirmed that he had been strangled and had sustained “multiple blunt-force trauma injuries to the face.”

His boyfriend, Nick McBee, with whom he was in an open relationship, said Dizdarevic had told him that he was driving to meet a man he’d met on the app on 30 April.

Speaking to G Philly, he said: “He was a responsible person. He always called to let me know where he was… I knew something was wrong.”

He said he filed a missing person’s report after he did not hear from him, and was later called to identify a body which matched his description.

Sources told G Philly that McBee was only able to identify Dizdarevic through his clothes, as he had been beaten so badly.

No arrests have been made in the case, which is not being treated as a hate crime.
