A gay Indian college student has been arrested for killing a boy who he had sex with.

Police sources say the 24-year-old suspect forced the 11-year-old victim to watch pornographic videos on his mobile phone and laptop several times.

The suspect “Sathish” is described as a family relative of the boy.

The victim was found dead with his throat slit at a grove about 200 metres away from his house on 12 April.

According to New Indian Express, police sources said: “Sathish was a resident of Devanapathur near Pappanthoppu. He is in the second year of graduation at a private college in Thathanur.

“He had forced the boy to watch porn videos on his mobile phone and laptop several times and also had sex with him. Fearing that the boy might reveal this to someone, Sathish brought the boy to the grove nearby and killed him by slitting his throat.”

New Indian Express reported: “On Monday (April 28), the police took Sathish (24), a relative of the victim, for questioning. During the inquiry, it came to light that Sathish, a homosexual, had murdered the boy.”

The Indian Supreme Court reintroduced a law banning same-sex sexual activity in December last year.
