The Guardian joins Google and Channel 4 with rainbow rebranding to support Sochi Olympics

Marking the beginning of the Sochi Winter Games amid controversy around Russian anti-gay laws, The Guardian newspaper showed its solidarity today with a rainbow pride-themed rebranding:
This proud redecoration follows suit of other recent topical rebrandings.
Google today also featured a restyled version of its logo with text which reads: “The practice of sport is a human right. Every individual must have the possibility of practicing sport, without discrimination of any kind and in the Olympic spirit, which requires mutual understanding with a spirit of friendship, solidarity and fair play’ –Olympic Charter”
