Dutch television show to feature first ever same-sex marriage and the Backstreet Boys
A Dutch TV show will on Friday feature its first ever same-sex marriage, as well as the Backstreet Boys.
Good Times, Bad Times (Goede tijden, slechte tijden), the RTL 4 series, will see gay couple Lucas Sanders and Menno Kuiper get married.
The on-screen couple played by Ferry Doedens and Dave Mantel, in a Christmas Day episode decided to get married. The show has millions of regular viewers.
There will be some twists and turns along the way, and the father of character Luke, came over to surprise the couple and to meet Menno.
Inexplicably, the Backstreet Boys will also appear on the soap to perform a hit at the wedding’s reception.
Everything threatens to go wrong, however, as the guests and entertainment get ready for the big day.
The same-sex wedding storyline will be told over two episodes airing on Friday 24 January and Monday 27 January.
