US: Radio host says it’s okay to attend gay weddings if you call for the couple to be ‘put to death’
Radio host Kevin Swanson has said during a broadcast that it is okay for Christians to attend same-sex weddings, as long as they hold up a sigh saying the couple should be put to death.
Pastor and Christian Right host Swanson said that guests can “attend the wedding and hold up the sign Leviticus 20:13 word for word: ‘If a man sleeps with a man as he sleeps with a woman the two of them have committed an abomination and they shall both be put to death.’ You could attend a wedding and hold up that sign.”
Referring to the case of Sweet Cakes, an Oregon Bakery sued in August for refusing to provide a wedding cake to a same-sex couple, which this week announced that it has closed its doors, he said bakers should do something similar.
“If you bake a cake for a homosexual wedding you can put Leviticus 20:13 on the cake,” he continued.
He went on to say that gay people were “fascists”, and accused them of attacking hte bakery.
He also said “that the Nazi Party had their birth at a homosexual bar in Berlin…This is what homosexuals do best and they will engage in their Pink Mafia effort to control and shut down businesses that do not cooperate with their agenda.”
Concluding, Swanson said it was “mindboggling”, why being gay is “outrageously popular” today.
