London Jewish gay groups to hold pre-Pride Chavurah

Two prominent Jewish gay and lesbian groups are to hold their annual pre-Pride Chavurah in St John’s Wood this evening.

The Beit Klas Yisrael (BKY) and The Jewish Gay and Lesbian Group (JGLG), are holding the Chavurah, hosted by Liberal Judaism, at the Liberal Jewish Synagogue.

The event will feature many lesbian and gay rabbis, and will be followed by supper and other entertainment.

The Chavurah is asks guests to bring vegetarian food to share.

JGLG was founded in 1972, and is the longest established LGBT group in the world. BKY is the UK’s leading all embracing liberal Jewish community.

Saturday 29 June is the main day of this year’s pride festival and the capital’s annual Pride parade will proceed from Baker Street to Trafalgar Square.

This evening’s event will take place from 7pm at the Liberal Jewish Synagogue, 28 St John’s Wood Road NW8 7HA.
